STAGE 2 : 11:15-12:00 p.m.

GENRE : Rock / Ska / Funk / Reggae

PErFect ThYroID, much like the gland in its name, secretes a mixture of potent musical enzymes to regulate optimal audience energy levels. PT delivers both message and humor through a skillfully tight and flowing, original fusion of funk, rock, ska/reggae, jazz, and what ever else the moment calls for. Hailing from New York's Hudson Valley since 1991, PT has long been known for moving crowds with high-energy sets of their unique "skunk music."

In 1997, Alternative Press Magazine called Perfect Thyroid's 4th album "Musical Barnacles" one of the top 10 ska-influenced albums of all time with PT's "Bit of everything stew" (along with The Specials, Fishbone, Operation Ivy, and Rancid). Beyond PT's ska element, the band's diversity can be seen by some of the bands they have shared the stage with over the years: Tower of Power, Widespread Panic, The Roots, Jimmy Fallon, Fishbone, The B-52's, Moon Boot Lover, Moe, The Wailers, Ike Willis (Frank Zappa), The Cherry Poppin Daddies, The English Beat, Toots and the Maytals, Corey Glover (Living Color), Goo Goo Dolls, Reel Big Fish, Marcy Playground, Third Eye Blind, Dishwalla, Cake, Chuck Berry, Jay Ungar, The Urge, Screaming Headless Torsos, The Flys, The Toasters, Pilfers, Bim Scala Bim, The Slackers, Mephiskapheles, SR-71, Spring Heeled Jack, Judy Collins, Joan Ozborne, Chucklehead, Yolk, Too Skinny J's, Super 8, King Sunny Ade', Entrain, Three, The Slackers, Murphy's Law, The Violent Femmes, Skankin Pickle, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Y'sou N'dour, NRBQ, The English Beat and Bruce Springstein (even Bruce - seriously).
