TEN YEARS OF  ILLUMINATING THE CITY

June 3rd, 2023

The Newburgh Illuminated Festival celebrates the diversity and dynamism of our wonderful river city with a day of music, art, dance, poetry, food, and more.

Bringing people and families together to shine a light on the City of Newburgh, to increase tourism, attract new businesses, and contribute positively to the city’s regional perception.

The brainchild of Newburgh’s former mayor Judy Kennedy, the family-and pet-friendly event is held each June on Broadway near Liberty and Grand Streets from noon until 10pm. The free-to-the-public event features four outdoor performance stages, activities for children and families, the participation of local businesses and establishments, a dance and performing arts stage, street performers, monumental artworks, loads of Hudson Valley food, craft and service vendors, and so much more.

The city of Newburgh is located about an hour north of New York City in the center of the greater Hudson Valley. Although easily accessible by car (with plenty of safe, free parking available), free shuttle bus transportation to and from the Beacon train station coinciding with train arrivals from New York City and Poughkeepsie will be provided throughout the day.

Join us and help us celebrate our 10th year!
